Captain Alfred Harvey, D.5.0., R.A'c M.C. is reported to have died of woundl' in Mesopotamia. He was the youlijrest son of the late Rev. Bache Wright Har« vev, D.D., a former headmaster of Wi« ngamii College, and had jnst completed his nudieat course in England when th» war broke out. His brother, Dr. Arthui Harvey, who for many years was in. practice in Waverley, is with the Zealanders at the front. ,
Mr. J. Priihnore, who joined the staff of Messrs. W. Gunson and Co., Auek< land, thirty-sis years ago, is-ninety years of age. Kefcrence *v«s made tq that fact at a farewell gathering iif Auckland this week in connection with the transfer of the business to Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co., and tlio hope was expressed by Mr. J. H. Gunson, Mayor of Auckland, that Mr. Pridmorti would reach the 100 years mark. . '
