MINERS' STRIKES.

Cabinet discussed Mr. Hoyle's recommendations dealing with the coal crisis, and decided to await the result of tomorrow's Federal Cabinet meeting, Mr. Holman'a only comment being that there would probably be developments this week. Meanwhile three districts, representing 12.000 miners, have again demanded that all coal should be declared "black." Massed meetings at Newcastle and Maitland to-morrow will demand Government enforcement of the men's terms. Steamers continue to lay up. The crews of the Burns-Philp island traders have been paid off, thus affecting the supplies to the troops at Rabaul. Unless the crisis is overcome before the end of th® week, the sugar industry will be brought to a standstill, involving 12,000. V . NO NEW DEVELOPMENTS. . Sydney, V.ov. 13. No new developments have occurred in the coal strike, Mr. Hoyle has returned after a conference with Mr. Hughes, but refuses to make any comment.
