At the sales there was the best selection of merinos seen during the series, and all classes were firm, and met with keen competition. The- Whakarue clip brought top price 203 d, average 19% d. To date 62,951 bales have been" catalogued and 50,873 sold, WHEAT AND~FLOUR. London, Nov. 5. Ine wheat and flour afloat is 2,365,000. quarters, for the Continent 2,620,000 quarters.* Atlantic shipments 438.000 quarters, Pacific nil. The total to Europe is 915,000 quarters, including Russia 30,000 quarters, India 148,000 Argentina 180,000 quarters, Australia 29,000 quarters. Wheat is steady, but there are no sellers. ORGANISATION SOCIETY'S REPORT. \ At Opunake yards on Monday, October 30, there was a good yarding of cattle of all classes. Very little' failed to charge owners, and high prices, were realised. We quote:.
