Scoureds and slipes were strong, with an upward tendency. Merinos were exceedingly firm. Quotations: Waiatt clip, top 10d, average ISd; Awama, 24'/od and 22% d; Ksiavci, top 43% d, ■ average 43-Vsd. WANGANUI. Pigs.—Porkers, medium 2Ss to 38s, porkers, good, 37s Gd to £2 8s 6d, sow in pig 27s to £2 Is, boar £l, weaners 18s 3d to 18s fid, empty sows 37s to £2 10s, stores 21s. Sheep.—Prime fat ewes passed at 28s, fat wether passed at 29s Od, fat ewes 27s fld, fat hoggets 26s Bd, fat and forward ewes 23s lOd, woolly hoggets passed at 27s 6d, wethers 27s Id, woolly empty ewes 30s, fat woolly ewes. passed at 10s fid, shorn ewes 245, fat woolly ewes 33s 4d, shorn wether hoggets passed at 25s sd, forward woolly wethers 255, ewes and lambs 295, shorn hoggets ?ss, woolly ewes and lambs 38s 2d, woolly ewes and lambs passed at £2 2s 3d.
