Paton on behalf of the New Plymouth branch of the New Zealand Insurance Company to the Patriotci Committee. The committee, in recording its thanks to the. company for its generous offer, decided, in deference to the wishes of the company, to give half of the donation to the Y.M.C.A. for the men at the front, £lO to the Women's Patriotic Committee, £lO to the local branch of the British"Red Cross, and the balance to the committee's general fund.
