MINERS' STRIKE.
N.SW. INDUSTRY HELD UP.- ■ < A GRAVE SITUATION v / Australian-N.#. Cable Association. Received Nov. 1, 9.25 p.m. Sydney, Nov. 1. All the collieries were idle to-day. The stoppage threatens to cripple the industry. Many steamers at Newcastle are held up. A conference of the parties will be held to-morrow. It is believed it will arrive at an early settlement, owing to the gravity of the situation.
