Christchurch, October 27, At the conclusion of the business of the Anglican Synod last night it was decided to accept a generous oflcr by Bishop Julius that Bishopscourt should be let, and'that he give half his stipend for education purposes. The Bishop explained that his family had grown up and gone away, and that his wife and himself would be happier and could do their work quietly in.a small house together. Dean Carrington referred to the offer as a striking and noble one.
