Mr. Hummers did the milking, Master A. Thnkleson delivered the miik to the factory, and the Messrs. Gernhocfer, Riley, Mills, T. Therkleson and Bob James cut a quantity of firewood. Much sympathy is'extended to Mr. and Mrs. Fever, whose son. Harold, has died of wounds. The late Private Fever left w.'lh the 12th Reinforcements.

Mr. Hamblyn has received news from the Minister of Defence that his son, Harry, is reported missing. We all trust tiiat satisfactory news will be received of him.

Now that the ''motor hog" is so much in evidence it would be a good thing for the township if the ratepayers would petition the County Council to put a fool bridge over tho stream near the railway station. The present traffic bridge is very narrow and unsafe for peat strians, especially children.

The local Tennis Club had their opening day last Monday, and spent a most enjoyable afternoon. A good season is looked for.
