BUTTER-FAT RECORD BROKEN
A MARVELLOUS YIELD, Palmerston North, Saturday. Mr. F. S. Mcßae, of Whakaronga (near Palmerston North), has 'broken the existing butter-fat record with his Jersey cow Merc (Sir Starlight IL—Tiki), which yielded 12,16411)9 of milk, containing £63 lbs. 10/34 ounces of fat in 3fi.3 days. The previous record was held by the American Jersey cow Lucky Farce, which produced 14/2001bs. of milk and 63albs. ll.Soz. of fat in the same period.
