HAWERA EFFORTS. The Hawcra branch of the St. John An.biilance and Patriotic Red Cross Society lia- cabled a further sum of C iOfi to St. .Tolni's Gate, London, , for N'cw Zealand hospitals, as so many of mir hoys have been wounded in the remit severe fighting. In answer to Lord Landsdowne's appeal £IOO has been sent, £47 of which was raised at the shop on Saturday last by ihe Misses Rowe, Anstis, and Cleaver, of Xi.rmanbv.
