Julius Phlerers, a Oerman, 57 years of age, was running clown C'hilka street ill company with his wife at about 1.30 p.m. on Saturday, when he suddenly stumbled and fell over. On being examined he was found to he quite dead, having evidently overstrained his heart in the exertion of running. The deceased has a family, ilis wife stated that he had not been attended medically for over four years, and was not aware that he was a sufferer from heart trouble.

SUDDEN DEATH. Wellington, Oct. 23. sirs. Sarah Holloway died suddenly at her residence on Saturday morning. The deceased lady, who was a .widow, 5-1 years of age, had been out shopping in town. When she returned home at about 10.30 a.m. she complained to her daughter of not feeling well and a difficulty of getting her breath. She was taken upstairs to bed and died shortly aftenvards.

fSUICI'DE OF A GREEK. 'Auckland, October 22. Stani.ite Angello, a middle-aged Greek, committed suicide in Mount Uden Gaol by hanging himself with a strap in his cell. Angello was formerly a restaurant proprietor, and went bankrupt some time ago, being convicted of breaches of the Bankruptcy Act.
