NEUTRAL ZONE CHEATED,
FRENCH POLICE CONTROL,
Received Oct. 22, 5.5 p.m. London, Oct. 21. The Morning Post's correspondent at Athens says that following King Conetantine'g avowal of good faith respecting the concentration at Larissa, the Government is reducing the army to the ainimnm of peace strength. It has dis- ' missed the latest recruits, and the removal of troops from Thesjaly to other ( provinces aims at the formation of a neutral zone in the rear of the Allies' Macedonian forces. Apparently the IGreek rulers have abandoned all thoughts "til departing from neutrality. f The situation at Athens is quieter, arrests having had exemplary remits. Even the anti-Venizelist press prges the public to abstain from provocation, and the disorderly element seems ijcowed. ' Tho publication of the terms where•ttder tte French assume control of the police' administration has had a salutary effect, especially the regulation rendering self-appointed guardians of the monarchy liable to immediate arrest.
