THOSE WHO HAVE FALLEN,

Afrs. J. Devery, Victoria Street, Hawera, has been advised that her brother, Corporal A. J. McLean, was killed in action on September 21. It is only two months since that Mrs. Devery lost another brothel, Private K. McLean, also killed in the war. Word has been received that Rifleman Gordon Stoddart, nephew of Mrs. J. Gilniour, of Manaia, has been wounded. At the time of enlistment he was studying at Knox College, Dunodin. He belonged to Lord Liverpool's Own., Mrs. Milhnan, of Young Street, received advice yesterday that her son, Rifleman W. H. Millman, who left with the 3rd Battalion, was killed in actior on October 1. Mr. James Blydc, of Belt Road, received word on Thursday that his son, Private John N. Blyde, was wounded on October 2. He left with the Bth Reinforcements.
