THE EMPIRE.

COMPLETE CHANGE FOE TO-NIGHT A TRIANGLE-KEYSTONE LAUGH FILM, "MY VALET."

A very humorous Triangle comedy entitled "My Valet", will be presented with a complete change of programme at the Empire to-night. It is really a stage farce comedy disguised under a new title. "Polite Comedy" is rollicking comedy with domestic sentiment as a side issue. The plot is simple. Doting parents betroth their respective offspring to one another; on reaching the age of maturity the children, who have never met each other, desire to repudiate the contract. By a set of comic circumstances, these two met at the home of the young lady. The man changes place with his valet, and" the valet becomes the master. It looks alright, but the complications which ensue create a whirlwind of laughter; but as the right man marries the correct girl at the finish the ruse, is forgiven. • Mabel Normand and Raymond Hitchcock score the biggest success of their lives; these clever artists receive good assistance from Mack Sennet and a big cast of comedians. The dramatic programme is a powerful one in which the Vitagraph drama, "The Governor's Order" is the outstanding feature. "The Tropical Budget" contains much that is new and interesting.

ANOTHER COMPLETE CHANGE TO-MORROW. "FATTY AND MABEL ADRIFT." Commencing at the matinee to-morrow another complete change of programme will be screened, headed by one of the greatest comedy screams ever conceived, "Fatty and Mabel Adrift." The comedy which is described as being three reels of genuine excitement' and hearty genuine fun, serves to re-introduce after a long absence the popular Mabel Normand and Roscoe Arbuckle in parts that are said to suit them admirably. There is a good story, some big effects, thrilling situations; but through them all are the laughter-raising episodes that are the main objects of the picture. A supplementary picture. "Naval Guns in the Making," is of the mqst interesting nature. A one-act drama and the "Gaumont Graphic" complete the programme.
