JOCKEY CLUB COMMITTEE.
Tliis committee met immediately afterwards, all the above member:, with tin.exception of Messrs Gray and Stanford, being present. The sub-committee's report for tlie programme for ihc present season ws. received and confirmed. Mr. J. Perrott wrote accenting tie position of judge for the Christmas meeting, an(f Jlr. A. Lash signified his acceptance of the position as clerk o» the course for the season. The Taranaki Agricultural Society wrote thanking the Club for its handsome donation'of £IOO toward-, the now showgrounds, and expressing gratitude for the many privileges and help thai had been a«jeorded the society in p:.|>t years by the Club. Two new members wore elected, ami two now names were proposed. Accounts amounting to .Ciii IS* lOd were passed, and a demand by the Income Tax Department was alsj authorised for payment. A sub-committee, consisting of Messrs >\ola«, Weston, and the secretary, was set up to consider various alterations in t'ie rules, and the meeting adjourned.
