He lett with the Wellington Mounted Rules in the First Reinforcements. After being iy Egypt two months he was promoted to sergeant with a position in the AYar Office, London. This position he held i'oi some twelve months, when he volunteered for the front and was wounded at the. Dardanelles. On returning to London he again took up the position for four months, when he volunteered for r-ctive service in France, where lit w-as killed on September 28.
