Numbers do not impress you; let our enemies' foreheads break on your iron wall. God will protect you in your great task." LILLE DEPORTATIONS EXCUSED, Reuter Service. Amsterdam, Oct. A committee of the Reichstag discussed the Lille deportations. Ilerr Helfferich and representatives of the Home ,'.r.d Foreign Offices contended that the deportations were internationally legal, us there was a shortage of workmen in Germany and idle foreigners could not be allowed to burden the relief funds. It was admitted that blunders were unavoidable.
