SEA GIVES UP ITS DEAD.
I _ m SUPPOSED REMINDER OF VESPER WRECK. Wailu, Oct. 11. The body of a man, apparently between thirty-five and forty years of age, was washed up on Waihi head) this morning. No local resident has been missing of late, and the clothing on the body, consisting of a green striped jersey and dungaree pants, gives the impression that the deceased was a seaman. The body has been in the water apparently about a month, and is unrecognisable. It is thought probable the man was one of the crew of the scow Vesper wrecked off the Great Barrier a few weeks back
