A wireless message has been sent from San Francisco to Japan, a distance of 5800 miles. This is preliminary to the inauguration of a wireless commercial service ARGENTINE WHEAT PROSPECTS. Received October 6, 5.50 p.m. London, October 8. Argentine wheat crop prospects will be unfavorable unless rain falls immediately.
