Reel Cross '\Vork.—At the request of his Excellency the Governor, the president, the deputy-mayor (Mr. W. A. Colli,-?') and the secretary (Mrs. Doekrill) organise! a house-to-house and street collection, on October 23, 1015, in aid of the British Red Cross (Lord Lansdowne's appeal), and they were ably assisted by the St. John Ambulance classes. At the request of the Patriotic Committee the St. John Ambulance co-operated with the local branch of the British Red Cross Society and organise 1 a co'lection for the French Red Cross "und, on February 26, 1911!, which realised £4'2l Is Bd. Clarke, Messrs W. Avibury, 11. Dempsey, W. Berridge, and R. C. Jluglit-s (all reelected). Mrs. Doel;v:i; was re-elected secretary and treasurer. Votes of thanks were necorrted Drs. Wade, Biaekloy. and Brewster, and Sister Wallace, for the services tliey had rendered to the society; also to Mr. Gray, director of the Technical College, for the usb o< a room for the holding of classes. On the motion of Messrs H. Dempsey and \V. C. Berridge a warm vote of thanks was parsed to Mrs, Dockrill for her services as lion, secretary and treasurer.
