Ow'ng to the flood-: there is little hope of the levels on the lower Goulburn stauling against the tremendous volume of water in the Goulburn weir. When it goes at least 150,000 acres will be inundated and all the townships on the lower Goulburn will be wholly or partially uv.der water.
One son cf the Chinnocks who was drowned at Seymour, while sheltering on the voof of a house with his family, was found eighteen hours later in a tree. A little sister was with him, but, shtut'.Y before he was rescued, fell into the river and was drowned.
