GOLF.
Owing to the adverse weather the golf tnn.niment to take place on the Wai-wal-aiho links yesterday, in aid of the Soldiers' Tobacco Fund, has been postponed until next Thursday. The Miramar Ladies' Golf Club, Wellington, is promoting an open tournan.ent to be held on October 10, 11, and 12, the whole of the gross proceeds to go to the "Soldiers' Christmas Gift Fund." Any local players able to take part may obtain programmes and entry form's from Miss Brewster, hon. secretary of tuo New Plymouth Ladies' Golf Chil.
