AEROPLANE ATTACK ON

BUCHAREST.

MANY CASUALTIES. Received Sept. 27, 11 p.m. London, Sept. 27. Aeroplanes bombed Bucharest on Monday afternoon and struck a hospital and orphanage, killing sixty and wounding many, mostly women and children. A Zeppelin bombed. Bucharest on Jlonday night, killing five children.

A French communique says:—There are lively bombardments and skirmishes on the Struma: and Vardar, especially 011 the English front at Doiran East of Fiorina we magnificently resisted a violent Bulgarian attack, throwing tliem back in disorder.' West of Fiorina the Russians and French are engaged in lively combats.

London, September 26. A German communique says:— The Roumanians captured the frontier heights astride the ridge between the Szurdak and Vulcan Passes. The garrison of the passes repulsed all attacks, but were withdrawn. The Bulgarians were successful on both sides of Fiorina. Bucharest, September 20. A communique savs:—We compelled tne Bulgarians' right wing in the DoIrudja to retreat.
