INGLEWOOD.
SALE DAYS. (From Our Own Correspondent.) Inglewood, I.a st Night. At tin conclusion of Mr. Newton King's Inglewood sale yesterday, a lepc.. tation from the farmers present waited upon Mr. S. \V. Shaw (Air. King's manager). Mr. ('. Young, who was spokesman, stated thut he had been requested h.v ii numbers of farmers to approach Mr. King with the object <i'f asking him to give up the sale which was now held on the same day as the Farmers' Organisation Society's sale, as tht holding of both :ales 011 the same day was very awkward for most of the farmers, for th?y could not possibly attend both. In addition to which, thft stock coming from both sales frequently got mixed- up on flic fond. If Mr.! King would forego the day, lie felt sure the settlers would approjiuto it and reciprocate, so that Mr. King w<Miltl not be at o loss.
Mr. Miaw, in replying, stated he would b>* very pleased to, represent to Mr. King tin< wishes of the settlers, and he assured them that the matter would retch e very careful consideration. He knew that Mr. King had always been of opinion that five sales in the month were too many for Inglewood, but n number of Iks clients had pressed him to continue l.he weekly sale, and it was very largely in deference to their wishes that he had done so. As it had always he?n Mr. King's policy to study the wishes and interest of the farmers, he had little doubt that the request would be favorably considered-
