IRONWORKERS' STRIKE Sydney, Sept. 20. The iron moulders in the Government dockyards and other places have struck for increased wages. A thousand are idle. THE CONSCRIPTION CAMPAIGN. Melbourne, Sept. 26. Tile executive of the Australian Workers' Union passed a motion opposing conscription by lawful means, but undertaking during the campaign not to join any generaj strike. Sydney, Sept. 26. At Broken Hill two men were lined for abusive language at an anti-conscription meeting. The crowd made a demonstration at the Courthouse, and then rushed to the police station and bombarded it with stories. The police charged with batons and dispersed the mob. Later the Courthouse was attacked.
