Much sympatly is felt for Mr William lius«ell, who has just received word that sis son "W-ll," has been killed in action.
Lieut. Harry Kennedy is on the list cf those reported wounded. The nature nf the wound is not known more than that ''Horry" is wounded in the shoulder.
There was a «rood attendance at St. Andrew's Choir locial on Friday evening. Mns'eal items as follow were contributed: Srng, Rev. E. L. flarvie; duet, M-i>rs. Hcrner and Roberts, and an or-ch<-tral iUm by the Wilson family, all of >vhich were well received. A competilir.n "Local Celebrities" caused a good deal of amusement. After nipper had been served by the ladies, dancing was indulged in and a very pleasant gathering was brought to a close about midij'fii>t. ' The golf championship progressed an-ollit-i stage last week-end. Gudgeon beat Surrey. 4 up and 2; and Darlow beat T. Brown, I up on the 10th hole.
