One spacious room is devoted to over 1000 shapes that have just arrived by the Arawa, all of British make and of better quality than <ver. There is an amazing variety of tolours,, including the favorite pinks, moles, skys, saxe, cherry, nigger, and blacks. The trimmings range from Hie tiniest forget-me-nots to tho magniiicent ailk rose. Wax flowers, too, are a feature, and fruit lias a place in the: i-cheine, and luscious grapes, cherries,, strawberries and black-berries lend I themselves with charming effect. The I hats appear to be on the large size, Imminently suitable for the hot weather.-, Salonika, Anzac, Calais, Argonnej Verilmi, and Avocourt, are all large semi-' sailor hats suitable, for .young ladies. It is impossible to attempt to give an adequate description of the almost endless styles of trimmed hats. They must be seen for their beauty to be" realised. A new variety is the chrysanthemum plant.. There are also some lovely designs in crepe dc chine, braided, and for the matron, it variety of beautiful black hats in handsome largel, chip, etc. Feathers are not in such vogue ibis year, but there is a sweet hat with shaded feather, and also a lovely bridal hat. For children and school-girls there is a particularly smart and dainty selection. In costumes there is a splendid range in light-weights, including choice gai badiiies, in variety of colours, coatings, flannels, and serges A striking costume is one of crcmo garbardine of excellent quality. Silk costumes in iutest shapes and shades, and also costumes in washing materials offer a wide range of choice. There is a delightful range of frocks just opened up, including handsome white embroidered voile, white and colored strappings, white and colored ;i!k,—shantungs-, silk duchess mousseline, white and floral voiles in large de-igns. This latter will be a popular frock this season. Sports' coats com--1 pri-ie a range of silk in all the fashionable colors, a feature being the Japanese f-iik smocked; heavy washing silk shantungs, crepes, popKna, and mercerised ottoman cords, also handsome creme garbardine. Heavy tussore motor coats should also be in demand. The blouses shown are very chic and dainty. Irish hand embroidered voiles, direct from the biggest Belfast lijhises, are' u feature. In"skirts, there is u wide range of handsome silk and satin in all the leading colors, also washing skirts, suitable foi picnic and ports. Ambury's are securing the same glove from Brussels as they have secured during the past twenty-five years. Among the other specialities are corsets, all iiie leading makes and shapes, ribbons, laees, hosiery, dainty lingerie, organdi musiin neckwear, Tmlia laees, embroidery, em broidered Bouncings, in quite new designs. In fact, all that the lady requires is to be found her •, including -.very variety of the latest materials tV:' 'dresses, a'.'d n complete range of napery and furnishings that beautify th*, home.
The men's aide is also well worthy of a visit, as there is a very nice range of tlothing and mercery, the favorite Irish poplin ties being a special feature, as arc the Panama hats, both for men and for ladies. A .visit to this great display .should well repay either town or country resident.
