BRAVE MAN HONORED. " By relegraph.-—Press Association. Auckland, Sept. iili. An interesting and unique ceremony took pjace this afternoon, when Sergt.-' Major Boate, D.C.M., was presented with the Medalle ;Milvaire conferred by the French 'President for bravery in tlie field. Boate, with another non-com. displayed great bravery and resource in holding the right flank at a weak spot, requiring great vigilance, at the Chanak Bair action at Galiipoli on August !), l!)l'i. Tlie presentation was made by the Defence Minister in presence of a parade 'by 5000 troops, including Anzacs and senior cadets.
