BISHOP—MACFARLANE. A wedding of interest took place on September 0, at "Grange Brook." Owhango. Main Trunk Line, the residence of Mr. C. Alien, brother-in-law of the bride. The contracting parties were Mr. Herbert C. Bishop, second son of the late Mr. W. Bishop and Mrs. Bishop, Yew iPlymouth, and Miss Isa ! 'uel Maefarlane, third daughter of the late James Macfarlane, and of the nursing t.aff, "Kirklands," Glasgow. The Rev. J K. Ward, Taumanimii, oliloiated. The .':ride, who was given awnv by Mr. 0. Allen, wore a gown of cream merve silk with laee tunic and pearl trimmings, ilsn the orthodox v«il in the form of a mob cap and wreath of orange blossoms, and carried a bouquet of white carnations, irccsias and nuiden-hair fern. Miss Ruby Macfarlane. sister of the bride, and Aliss Olive Bishop, sister of the bridegroom, were the bridesmaids. ' They ■vore dainty white voile frorks with satin overdresses. Their bouquets included pink carnations and stocks. The bridegroom was attended by Rifleman .Vassow, of the 17th Reinforcements, as best man and Mr. W. 0. Donnell as •i'nom«man. The bridegroom's gift to the bridesmaids were a handsome ruby and pearl pendant with chain and garnet l.roocli. After the ceremony a large ■lumber of guests were entertained to breakfast in a large marquee. Mr. and Mrs. Bishop left on their wedding trip to Rotorua, Mrs. Bishop wearing khaki r.ibcrdine costume with hat to match The presents were numerous and serviceable, including the bride's cake and several cheques. ,
