Two well-dressed Hindus, who recently arrived in Auckland from Fiji, presented themselves at the recruiting station on Tuesday, and oll'ered their services in any capacity for the front (rejjarts the Herald). The volunteers were well-educated men, and luid paid their own Jans from Fiji to Auckland. They evinced a lcecn desire to enlist. At first the applicants were informed that under the Defence Department's Regulations they could not be accepted, but in view of their enthusiasm and line physique arrangements were made for their accommodation at Narrow Neck ca.mp. Both ! applicants, who are brothers, passed tile medical test, and will go into training almost at once.
