PASSPORTS FOR ENEMY ALIENS PROHIBITED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night, The Imperial authorities have xf quested the Xcw Zealand llovernmcnt to prohibit the issue of passports to ail persons of alien enemy origin, who have (joen naturalised overseas. In the caafl of those naturalised in Britain no passports are to be issued without tka Homs authorities' sanction. MATERNITY WARDS At HOSPITALS. Wellington, last Nlgftt. In view of the high eost of living the Public Health Department has decided to extend the principle of St. Helen's Homes for maternity cases. Ths advantages offered by these homea are to be brought under the .notice of I'l'iendly Soeieties, and Hospital Boards are to be asked to consider the advisableness of establishing maternity wards at all hospitals.
