"Rofnilutions under the Military SeW vice Act wore puzettod to-night as fol" lows:—Every voluntary recruit shall at the time when he takes the Oath of Allegiance, under the Exeditionary Forces Act, 1915, he attested in the presence of an attesting officer. Everyf compulsory recruit shall, before being: first received into a eamp of military training, or forthwith thereafter, he attested in the presence of an attesting officer. Kvery compulsory recruit may, if he so desires, take the oath of allegiance and be attested in the- same manner as a voluntary recruit, instead of in the manner set forth in the second schedule. Every compulsory recruit who refuses* or fails when required to do bo by any. officer under whose command lie is, toi appear before the attesting officer and! there to answer all questions submitted! to him and he. attested in accordance! with these regulations shall bo guilty of! disobedience to the lawful commands b(J the officer under whose command he is* and shall be liable under the Army Acq accordingly. ' A voluntary recruit may on his SttefU tation indicate the reinforcement draft! to which he desires to be attached, but* if he is a reservist belonging to the first) division, no such indication shall in any manner limit or affect his obligation 06 immediate military service as a member of an Expeditionary Force, and lie shall be liable by virtue of his enlistment tfl| serve at any time and in any reinforce* ment draft in the same manner as if htj had enlisted without any Such indication. Nevertheless, effect shall be given to any such indication so far as tha commandant thinks consistent with pub* lie interest. "
