At the wool sales good greasies were Arm, but inferior grades were bard to place. LONDON WOOL SALES. New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd,, have received the following cablegram from their London house, under date September 13, IMG:— .Wool sales: Market active. As. compared with July 2S merino greasy superior a:id medium are par to 5 per cent, higher, crossbred greasy 5 per cent. and .slipe 2'/ 2 to 5 per cent, higher. Inferior scoured and crossbred scoured, as well as greasy lambs, are par to 5 per cent, lower. Final series fixed for December 5. J3LTHAM SALE. At the Farmers' Co-operative Society stock sale at Eltham on Wednesday there was a good yarding of cattle. Good prices were realised in all departments. Dairy cattle prices averaged the same as at the last sale, while in other 1 departments stock sold a little higher than late rates. . Quotations:— Pig: Suckers Bs, stores £1 8s Gd.
