Tn the House of Representatives, Mr. Hughes announced that Mr. Tudor, Minister of Customs, had resigned. It is believed thSt the resignation is owing to his conscientious objection to conscription i MB. TUDOR'S EXPLANATION 1 . ' . Melbourne, Sept. 15. Mr. Tudor, explaining -his resignation, isaid he could never see himself sending ■' men out of Australia. He was not ever in favor of the referendum. He thought recruiting was killed by too much talking for and against the referendum. The was continued. The Victorian Railways Union for varded to the Victorian Ministers and Federal Cabinet a letter asking them to resign, as a protest against conscription. '
