A PROTEST

To the Editor, Sir,—As a member of the audience ai the initial performance of the "Dandies," I wish to voice a protest against the behaviour of certain women sitting at the back portion of the hall. They seemed hardly to realise that the majority of the audience were there to hear and enjoy the performance, and not to listen to their frivolous chatter and inane giggling. I trii9t that the offenders will consider these few remarks and refrain from giving similar exhibitions in future.—l am, etc., DISGUSTED. New Plymouth, September 13.
