WEDDING BELLS
BISHOP+-MeFARLANE. On September C, at Owhango, a ivedding was celebrated between Mr. H. C. Bishop, of Bell Block. New Plymouth, t and Miss Isabel McFarlane, of Grange Brook Farm, Owhango. The ceremony was performed by t'he Rev. .1. E. Ward, of Taunwrunui. The bride locked very jiretty in a gown of cream merve silk, with veil and mob cap, and tarried a bouquet of white lilies and maiden-hair fern. JJiss Ruby McFarlane and Miss Olive Bishop acted as bridesmaids, and wore cream satin 'overdresses. carried a bouquet of pink carnations and maidenhair ferns. Private R. Warron, of the 17th Reinforcements, acted as best man, and Mr. Win. O'Donnell as grooms man. The bridegroom's gifts to tha bridesmaids were a ruby and pearl .pendant, with chain'and gurnet brooch. Tha bridal cake, a real wortc of art, was presented by the bridegroom's sjster, Mrs. Fred Holmes, of Bell Block, Xlew .Plymouth. The presents received by tha bride were numerous and valuable, among them being several cheques. After the marriage ceremony about 40 couples sat down to a splendid repast. Th« bride and bridegroom left for Rotorua to spend the honeymoon.
