Present indications are for moderate to strong southerly -winds, northward of Kawhia and East Cape, and for southerly breezes veering shortly to westerlies, and then increasing elsewhere; cloudy to overcast conditions probably generally, and showery in the northernmost districts, rain following in the West Coast and southernmost districts of the South Island. The barometer will rise in the north, but fall shortly in the south,
