The story is woven around the experiences of three young people who set out to win the world's applause with tlheir artistic attributes. One becomes a great painter, another a great singer, while the remaining one could not rise above mediocrity. The successful painter is suddenly bereft of 'his 'health, caused through hunger and hard struggling to rwc'U the goal. His friend steals his pictures and exhibits them as his own. The singer, the female of the trio, returns from Europe, recognises the pictures, locates the real artist, befriends him and turns to be revenged on the 'hypocrite. He had bargained with the unknown power for fame, riches, and love. The last gift was denied 'him, and on this the plot hinges and makes for a 'happy ending to the story.
