The Northern Steamship Company's Rarawa is due in port early this morning. She leaves again this evening for Onehung . THE CORINNA. The Union Steamship Company's Corinna is due hero from Onehunga on Thursday. THE KOWHAI. The Union Company's steamer Kowhai is due here from Westport, via Onehunga, to-morrow, with a cargo of coal. She is expected to discharge same and leave same day for Westport. ' A LONG TOW. An exceptionally long tow has yet to he arranged for the bringing of the coal hulk L'Aube from New Caledonia to Wellington. This hulk has a coal capacity of 1500 tons, and has a sister ship jmong the hulks in Auckland. The L'Aube has been purchased by Messrs G. H. Scales, Ltd., and was formerly a French frigate. 'A CARELESS NAVIGATOR. Captain Edward Strom, master of the scow Bee. appeared before a -Nautical Court in Auckland to show cause why his certificate should not be cancelled or suspended for misconduct—namely, drunkenness. Evidence was given that white the scow was at the Thames, Strom went to Auckland, : nd went on a drinking bout, the scow meantime being -practically abandoned, the Thames harbormaster having aiithoris«d the crew, to obtain their meals at a local hotel. The Court I ordered Strom's certificate to be-sus-for three months, and that he '' pay the costs of the enquiry.
