SUCCESSFUL OPERATION?. (From Our Own Correspondent.) Wellington, Sept. S. The. medical units in training at Awapuni camp had a field day on Thursday. General Henderson, Director of Medical Services, was present and watched the practical operations, which covered t'he various brandies of the training course. The operations were conducted at a point about four miles outside the.camp. The men of the 20th Ambulance Reinforcements were used for demonstration purposes, and the 17th, ISth and 10th Reinforcements established advanced dressing stations and main dressing stations under field conditions. They carried out the work of evacuating the wounded, as represented by the 20th Reinforcements, in a thorough fashion. General Henderson stated subsequently that the operations had been conducted very creditably.
