(From Our Own Correspondent.) Inglewood, Yesterday. Daffodil Day, on Wednesday, was a most successful function, when the following ladies hail charge of the different stalls:—Daffodil: Mesdames Henderson, .M. Sutherland, anil C. 0. Roberts. Purple stall: Mesdames Hobbs and Horner and Misses Esse and -Nutting. iProduce stall: Miss Johnstone and Mesdames K. Davis and Henry. £\veets stall: Mesdames Buckley, F. Brown. J. Sutherland and .Miss Ilaincrton. Afternoon tea: Mesdames Winiield, Messenger, King, S. Allen, Dean, de Launay, and Misses Lille and Horner. The sum of £'2(i 2s lid was gathered in during the afternoon, and is to be devoted to the Bed Cross funds. The total was made up as follows: Produce stall £7 fls (id, purple ■£."> 5s lid, tea and competitions £3 lis Gd, sweets £3 3s 7d, dall'odil £2 15s lOd, and door receipts £3 15s. The ladies concerned are deserving of congratulation for bringing the function to such a successful issue, At the golf links on Thursday a competition in the shape of a mixed foursomes was played for Mr. Gudgeon's trophy, and resulted as follows: —Miss Johnston and (L Gudgeon lirst with a net score of 7S. Miss Hamerton and Johnston being the runners-up. As Mr. Gudgeon was the donor of the prize, which was half a dozen balls to each of the winning pair, he generously handed his prize to Miss Hamerton. The Red Cross Mart is to be open for business again on Saturday next, when ii. will be run by the Inglewood ladies:
