I SIEREHERE. Tlie twenty-first annual meeting was held at the sclioolliousc, Ohangai, on Saturday. Mr. D. J. Williams, chairman of directors, presided. The annual report recorded that the past season shows results, both as to quantity and price, exceeding those of any previous year Two-thirds of the output was consigned to H. A. Lane and Co.. Ltd., on open consignment, and with satisfactory results, prices ranging from S3* to 115s. The costs, however, were higher than obtained in previous Seasons, owing mainly to the shortage of ocean tonnage and increase of wages caused by scarcity of suitable labor. The remaining third was sold to the Imperial Government at 7Jd, les9 2 per cent, shrinkage. Unfortunately, after the last balance sheet had been submitted to the shareholders, a considerable drop occurred in tlie London market, and our consignments then in transit on arrival realised less than our estimate based on London reports at the time they were taken into account. This, together with the abnormal shrinkage caused by delay before shipment, reduced a presumed credit balance of .€2035 3s fid by £107!) lfls Sd, so the shareholders wore called "ii for a refund of £(>0!) 13s lid, the 1 lift'eianee being the amount in hand •fter paying out the bonus. The balance available for distribution is £4589 'lis, which will provide for a further 1 payment of 3d per lb. on all butter-I'at

used in tha mamifacture of cheese. Mr. W. H. Cochrane has been rc-cngaged as manager of flic Ohangai factory, and Mr. R. Baird as manager at Pokoinoko. ■Statistics relating to tne year's working were as follows (previous years in parentheses): Milk, 0.778,H51b (9,335,190); butter-fat, :l0(i,27O.?81b (318,719..10); average test, 3.71(1 (3.704); cheese manufactured, 014,4191b (734,298); creamery butter, 10.0311b; whey butter, 21.7Ui1b; cheese to bhtter-fat, 2.671b (2.09); over-run 13.05; pounds .milk required to make lib cheese, 10.05; cheese exported, 3080 crates; cheese sold to Imperial Government, 15-0 crates. The old Hoard had resigned because of the dill'ereme of opinion among suppliers about the new buildings. They had decided that it was best that all should go out of office and submit to a poll. Nominations showed tlm't Jjessrs. D. J. Williams and J. O'Shea were returned unopposed. Mr. Looney, a new member, was elected unopposed, Mr._ Walker retiring in his favor.
