Hamilton, Last Night. < The grand jury returned a true bill inl. the case of Toete Kainuku, a Karatongan native, ohnrged with the murder" of Kennth Livingstone, and the attempt* ed mnrdor of Charles McFarlane, shep« herds, at Lonely Bush station, near Mangapehi, in the King Country, early in July. When the ;ase was mentioned before Justice Cooper to-day, Dr. Beat* tie, iu charge of the Avondale Asylum* said that Kainuku, who was under detention there, was suffering from an acute attack of mania and was dangerously homicidal. He was unfit to tra\el, and it would be dangerous to allow him out in his present condition* The mania might subside in a few, weeks. The trial was therefore port* poned.
