SECONDARY SCHOOT S CON' FERENCE. By Telegraph.—Press Association, Wellington, Sept. 5. The conference of the Secondary Schools Assistants' Association opened to-day. Tiie president's address stressed the importance of the study of English literature. Remits were carried that one language, not necessarily Latin, in addition to English, be compulsory for the p.A. degree, also that geography should receive more attention .in secondary fecliools.
