ENTERTAINMENTS.

TIcE NORWOODS. To-night, ac the Good Templar Hall, Professor Norwood, the American hypnotist, opens a return season in New 'Plymouthy and the laughter, boom will commence promptly at S o'clock. This will in all probability be the last opportunity of seeing the Norwoods, as Mr. Norwood expects to return to America shortly, and will devote his time in the future to the treatment of diseases by hypnotic suggestion. The present war has opened up a large field for this class of work, a number of London physicians using it at the present time in the hospitals at the front, with good results. If Mr. Norwood's new venture prove; as successful as lie has been in the entertainment line in the past few years, it is safe to predist that he will soon become one of the world's greatest benefactors. This afternoon at 4 o'clock Mr. Norwood will perform his wonderful blindfold drive in New Plymouth, starting from the Post Ofiice, and those who wish to see this highly interesting demonstra-, tion should be on hand at 4 o'clock sharp. , At the Good Templar Fail to-night there is sure to be a continuous roar of laugh t;cr and r.n endless amount of fun, for° Mr. Norwood's reputation is an entertainer ?s always a guarantee of the very best. The booking plan is open at Collier's. fHE BANDIES. Mr. Edward Branscombe's Costume Com-edy-Concert Co., ''The Dandies," are coming to New Plymouth, and will appear in the Good Templar Hall next Tuesday and the three following nights. "The Dandies" are well remembered by the excellence of the performances given here in recent years. There are several of the "Dandies" ;ompanies, and those announced to appear next week are known as the Pink Dandies, stated by competent critics to be a very gifted lot. Quite recently they appeared with great success for four weeks in Wellington, and tnis fact alone must proclaim them a body of iiiterlaiiuTs above the average. The artists include several fvery fine vocalists and a quartette of comedians and comediennes, who contribute much to the success of the performance. During their four nights' season in New Plymouth "The Dandies" will present four complete programmes. Popular prices will be charged, and the plan will open to-morrow' at Collier's. v
