AMALGAMATION WITH EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Sept. 5. The conference betwen representatives of Secondary School Assistants' Union and the New Zealand Educational Institute, decided upon the amalgamation of the two bodies-, the institute to retain independence of action on matters specially affecting its members, md to have adequate representation on the executive. ELECTION OF OFFICERS The Secondary School Assistants' Association conference elected the following oflicers to-day: President, T. Brodie (Wellington); vice-president, son (Christehurch); executive, Messrs. Rockell, Gifford and Mahon.
