| FUTURE OP RETURNED SOLDIERS. Sydney, September 3. Mr. Holm,in, when opening the new premises for returned soldiers, said lie purposed laying before Parliament proposals whereby the Government would take charge of the claims by returned soldiers lor scouring by statute the permanent establishment of the whole of their futures, and the futures of their widows and orphans. ACTION OF WHEAT BOARD. Melbourne. September 3. Mr. Hughes (Prime Minister) has announced that financial arrangements have been completed which will enable the Wheat Board to advance farmers an additional sixpence weekly. The recently agreed upon dividend will involve £4,000,000. AUSTRALIAN CASUALTY LIST. Sydney, September 2 List 20-1 contains the names of the following New Zealanders:— Wounded.—Sergt. L.
