MILITARY SERVIGE ACT, 1916. j ENROLMENT OF EXPEDITIONARY FORCE RESERVE. gY PROCLAMATIONS dated respectively Ist and 2nd September, DUG, the enrolment of the Reserve is directed. Enrolment must hj- made not later than lath September (First Division), or ltith September (Second Division). The Reserve consists of men not less than 20 and under 4li years of age. The Reserve Register is based on the National Register. Men not already registered must supply enrolment-cards not later than 10th September. Jler. already registered need not supply an enrolment-curd, hut must, not later than 16th Sep tember, notify present address if place of abode has changed since registration. Men reaching military age, or arriving in Dominion after lfltb September, must supply enrolment card.- within fourteen days thereafter. Changes of abode after enrolment must be notified within fourteen days. The Act makes the reservist's obligation to do any of the above things a personal one, and lie is not relieved by information previously given to recruiting officer or committee. Men not enrolled may be sent straight to camp. Men who fail to notify change of address may become, liable on a charge of desertion. Employers of Reservists not enrolled, or of deserters, are liable to heavy fines or imprisonment. For Protection of Reservists certificates of enrolment will be issued as soon as practicable after receipt of application on form provided.
