Inspector Huge will arrive in New Plymouth this evening, and to-morrow lie' will inspect the New Plymouth and ii'itzroy Fire Brigades. Robbie, Headmaster of the Patea District High School, who left for the front last yeai as QM.S. in the Bth Reinforcements, has b?e-n recommended for a commission in the Imperial Army, and is at present in camp near Salisbury Plain. Prior to this he was acting as gas specialist to his company in Flanders, lecturing to the N.CO.'s on the best means of combating gas attacks.
