ABUSE NOT SPORTSMANLIKE.
To the Editor. Sir, —Surely the advocates of the socalled sport of pigeon shooting realise thjkt in the community there are many ?ood sportsmen who are opposed to it. Then why this abuse of a gentleman 'ivho has done his simple duty in raising ,'ais voice against what he considers to be a cruel and degrading form of sport? After reading the corrcporidencc, one ',-annot hut feel that Mr. Wildman and others are just a little bit doubtful as to whether the maiming •of helpless birds is worthy of the name of sport. At any rate the tone of their letters is not what one would expect from true sportsmen.— I am, etc., W. 11. MOYES, Nov/ Plymouth, August 30.
